Using an automatic safety cover protects the water and drastically reduces the need to top up during the season.
This can save several cubic metres of water depending on the pool surface area and the frequency of use.
You should know: All our covers are class A or B as per the European NF EN 17645 standard.
Our so-called “solar” models (certain polycarbonate cover slats) contribute to heating the water, thereby making it possible to avoid buying, or to limit the use of, a heat pump.
More energy-efficient
The presence of a thermal cover composed of Abriblue 83 mm slats has a significant influence on the pool water temperature and its evaporation.
It maintains the water temperature using the insulation provided by the air layer:
• Water heating by transmission of the sun’s heat (for certain polycarbonate slats).
• Evaporation limited by the cover.
• Stored heat kept thanks to the insulation provided by the air blade trapped inside the slats.
The benefits of some polycarbonate slats:
Heating power which, depending on the colours, can reach up to + 8 degrees.
As per the NF EN 17645 standard
Abriblue covers are rated "A" or "B" as per the NF EN 17645 standard depending on the model and compliance with the recommended installation and use conditions.
Some of our so-called "solar" slat covers meet the criteria for an A rating.
Calculations show that our covers provide very good heat loss resistance and that they limit evaporation by almost completely covering the water surface.
Systematically rolling out the cover after using the pool reduces evaporation by up to 95%.
